Coach Lamont Bobbitt

Coach Bobbitt has had progressive career success as a high school, collegiate, and semi-professional basketball player and coach and calls upon expertise gained over two decades. He is recognized for propelling performance to unprecedented levels through hands-on leadership, aggressive training and development initiatives with a coaching approach that includes a combination of traditional and innovative methods, tailored to meet individual needs.

▪ All Navy Basketball: Won “All Armed Forces” Title 1995, 1998, 1999, 2000; Most Valuable Player 1998, 1999, 2000, 2008

▪ Naval Base Norfolk All-Stars: Completed East Coast Tour undefeated from Boston to Orlando; led team in scoring.

▪ Yokosuka, Japan; Won Pacific title 2006, 2007, 2008; Most Valuable Player of MLK Tournament (Okinawa Japan) in 2007, 2008.

▪ Bahrain (Southwest Asia): Lost only 2 games in 4 years; was leading scorer; played on Bahrain’s National All-Stars team.

▪ 2008 – 2010 San Diego All Star Team, San Diego, CA

Won tournaments in San Diego, CA, San Bernadino, CA and Las Vegas, NV

Coach Bobbitt is also a member of BCA's Executive Board.

Coach Kennard Burris

Coach Burris is very knowledgeable and passionate about basketball. He believes in hard work, sound work ethic, and genuinely loves teaching the game. Coach Burris has many years of experience coaching AAU/travel ball teams, ranging from ages 5-15. He brings to BCA his positive attitude and believes student athletes can do anything they put effort into.  His motto is “Hard work pays off!”  Coach Burris is also a member of our Executive Board.

Angela Bobbitt

BCA Director / Operations / 

Exec Board 

Angela is responsible for overall BCA operations including fundraising, sponsorship, travel logistics, game day operations, team apparel and multimedia.   She has extensive experience not only being a "team mom" and Coach's wife, but has previously lead operations of a semi-professional athletic team.  Team sports are "her thing."

ToJanno "TJ" Tapp

Game Day Logistics / Videographer

Exec Board

ToJanno "TJ" manages game day operations, but has her hands in all aspects of the successful operation of BCA .   TJ is well-versed in basketball, as she has been both a player and coach.  When she is not "coaching" from the stands, she is responsible for videoing BCA games and often operates as "team nurse."

Yolonda Wilder

Concessions Manager / Parliamentarian / Exec Board

Though Yolonda contributes to various aspects of BCA operations, she  primarily leads food preparation for all BCA-sponsored events and travel.  Yolonda also serves as the Parliamentarian on our Executive Board and enjoys the challenge of "getting folks TOGETHER!"  

Crystal Burris

Game Day Logistics / Exec Board

Crystal is not only an experienced "team mom," but she is well-versed in basketball with her "basketball IQ" in many ways rivaling some coaches!  In addition to serving on BCA's Executive Board, Crystal pitches in wherever needed; from administering first aid, transportation, food preparation, travel logistics, mentoring and even counseling.  

Yolandra Powell

BCA Cheer Advisor / Exec Board

Yolandra brings to BCA, over 22 years' experience working with youth, as she is the owner and operator of two childcare centers.  She has successfully mentored and coached business owners in the childcare industry.  Her sincere passion for quality childcare, building a great team and professionalism makes her an integral part of our staff.  

Ollie Marrow

BCA "Quiet Storm" Cheer Coach

Ollie is a veteran cheerleader, with over 8 years' experience.  Serving three years as captain on her high school cheer squad, she was awarded 2017  "Cheerleader of the Year."  After high school, Ollie was selected to join the NCCU JV squad, "Silhouette."  She has a passion for cheer and is excited to lead the ladies of BCA "Quiet Storm!"  She currently works in early childhood education.
